At Guanico Beach Resort, we believe the right board changes everything. That’s why we offer a premium Try Before You Buy experience featuring a handpicked quiver of performance surfboards and stand-up paddle boards, tested right on our front yard: the world-class waves of Playa Guanico.
We’ve partnered with legendary shapers and industry icons to bring you exclusive access to some of the finest gear available—whether you’re a lifelong surfer or just discovering your flow.
All demo sessions take place at Guanico Beachfront HQ.
We have assembled a large collection of premium SUPs and longboards available exclusively to our guests.
We worked with Scott McKercher, well-known founder and designer of Smik Australia, to create a custom quiver of Smik models such as the Spitfire, Hipster Twin, Bonza, and more. Scott’s off-the-chart design skills helped us craft a lineup blending high-performance short shapes with timeless longboard flow.
We also feature top-tier models from Infinity Surfboards (Dana Point, California), including the B-Line, BlurrV2, New Deal, and Escape Pod, representing both high-performance and relaxed longboard-style SUPs.
Our lineup is rounded out with models from Starboard, NSP, and Indiana — a Swiss brand popular throughout Europe.

About Our Break
Endless Waves at Your Doorstep
Located just steps from your room, the surf break out front of the resort is a long, exposed beach break offering consistent waves year-round. Fed primarily by clean, long-period groundswells from the south, this stretch of coastline delivers both lefts and rights across multiple peaks, making it ideal for surfers of all levels.
The wave is most playful and well-shaped during a mid tide, offering long, open faces perfect for carving turns or practicing your fundamentals. With reliable conditions and plenty of space to spread out, this beach break is your personal playground.
A World-Class Point Break Awaits
At the far end of the beach, when the swell pushes past four feet, a classic right-hand point break comes to life. Breaking over a rocky bottom, this wave peels with speed and power, offering long, fast walls and occasional barrel sections for those ready to commit.
Best suited for intermediate to advanced surfers, the point delivers a more technical ride and rewards precision, timing, and flow. When it’s on, this wave is the crown jewel of the coastline—a must-surf for those chasing performance and unforgettable sessions.

A Modern Twin Fin - The Hipster Twin is just a case of history repeating itself. It’s almost impossible not to notice the performance that’s evolved from twin fins in the surfing world, with many of the biggest brands having one in their range and all carrying the heritage of the original Mark Richard design.

Effortless Speed and Drive - Old world designs come back to life once again with the Bonza. In contrast to the Hipster Twin, the Bonza is all about looseness and tight rail turns, the Bonza is a stark contrast that wants to draw out your turns at speed. The Hipster twin Longboard has been a natural evolution of the hipster twin swallow longboard, which made an instant impact to redefine the abilities of longboard turns when the SMIK team arrived to Bali with the new Hipster twin longboard under their feet.

What has been remarkable about the hipster twni has been the broad ranging appeal it provides with stabilty of generous width to length whilst still providing performance. From testing inspired by customer request, the HIPSTER TWIN PRO is a call to arms.

INFINITY BLUR V2
Dave Boehne has brought back an original favorite in the BLURR performance surf SUP with the highly anticipated V2. The BlurrV2 incorporates a new SUPspensionTECH carbon construction to promote flex and work in conjunction with the new step rail design. This board features a single concave, pulled in tail template w/ a wing pin tail taken from the New Deal. This board has lots of pivot off the bottom and seamless carve style ride under the feet.

INFINITY B-LINE
The B-Line takes the razor-sharp shredding from the Blurr and borrows stability characteristics from the RNB to make up a fast, explosive, tour level ride. The nose is slightly wider than the Blurr but still comes to a point. The outline stays linear for added stability and we break that at the fins with a wing for great pivot off the bottom.

INFINITY ESCAPE POD
The Escape Pod is a modern evolution from our groundbreaking shape the "Phoenix" that was originally introduced in 2015 and quickly became our best selling model for 3 years straight with the range expanding to 4 versions. This shape helped usher in the under 8' SUP surf era when originally most people did not think it was possible to ride a SUP that short.
